In the app
Open Mubazi → Settings → Account → Delete account. Mubazi sends a six-digit code to your email. Enter it to confirm. The deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
If you cannot open the app
Email apps@yebalabs.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my Mubazi account”. We will confirm your identity and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- your profile (name, email address, profile picture and country);
- your spending records and their descriptions;
- your debts and the payments recorded against them;
- your wallet history.
Data kept only on your phone is removed when the account is deleted from the app, or when you remove the app.
What may be kept briefly
Encrypted backups are replaced on their normal cycle, so deleted data can remain in them for a short time before it is overwritten. Records we are legally required to keep, such as security logs, are retained only for the period the law requires.
