1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Yebalabs, of Kigali, Rwanda, publishes Pregotimer, a pregnancy daily-schedule and reminder app for Android and iOS. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it is kept.
In short: everything you enter stays on your phone. Pregotimer has no accounts, servers, analytics or advertising, and Yebalabs never receives your information. It does not use Yebalabs Identity, so the general Yebalabs Identity Privacy Policy does not apply to it unless you use another Yebalabs service.
2. What stays on your device
Everything you enter in Pregotimer is stored only on your phone, inside the app’s private storage. It is never sent to Yebalabs or to anyone else. This includes:
- how far along your pregnancy is and the start date worked out from it;
- the health conditions you select, such as gestational diabetes, thyroid conditions, anaemia or hyperemesis;
- your wake time, schedule changes and hidden items;
- doctor reminders and medicines you add, with their doses, times, instructions and end dates;
- what you record for each item, such as done, not yet or a measurement value;
- your notification history, which is kept for 30 days and then removed;
- your theme and other preferences.
Pregotimer has no sign-in, server or cloud sync. Yebalabs cannot see, recover or restore this information.
3. Prescription scanning
You can scan a prescription with the camera or choose a photo of one to create medication reminders.
- Read on the device. The text is read by the text recognition built into your phone’s software: Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit’s bundled model on Android. This works without an internet connection, and the photo and the text read from it are never uploaded.
- Not kept. The photo is held in memory, or briefly in the app’s cache on Android, only while you check the result, and is then discarded. Pregotimer does not save it to your photo library or anywhere else.
- Only what you save. Only the medicines you check and save become reminders, stored on your device as described above.
4. Reminders and notifications
Reminders are scheduled and shown by your phone. Pregotimer does not use push notifications, and reminder content is never sent to a server.
On Android, a reminder on a locked screen shows only “Pregotimer reminder”; its name and details appear after you unlock the phone. On iOS, what a reminder shows on a locked screen follows your iPhone’s notification preview settings.
5. No analytics or tracking
Pregotimer does not use analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking services, and it makes no network connections of its own. The only time it goes online is when you tap the Privacy Policy or Terms & Conditions links in Settings, which open in your browser.
6. Device permissions
- Camera. Only if you choose to scan a prescription. Used only for that scan.
- Photos. Pregotimer uses your phone’s photo picker, so it only receives the single photo you choose and cannot see the rest of your library.
- Notifications. To show your reminders.
- Alarms and reminders (Android). After setup, Pregotimer asks you to allow exact alarms so reminders ring on time. If you don’t, reminders still work but may arrive a few minutes late. It also sets reminders again after your phone restarts.
You can change these permissions at any time in your phone’s settings. Reminders will not work without notification permission.
7. Device backups
On Android, Pregotimer’s data is left out of Google backup and of transfers to a new phone. On iOS, your iPhone’s own iCloud or computer backup can include Pregotimer’s data if you have backups turned on; that backup is held by Apple or on your computer under your control, not by Yebalabs.
8. Deleting your data
Because your information is kept only on your phone, you control it. To remove it, delete the app or, on Android, clear the app’s storage in your phone’s settings. Copies in your phone’s own backup follow that backup’s settings.
Yebalabs holds no copy of your information, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
9. Your rights
Rwanda’s Law Nº 058/2021 gives you rights over your personal data, including access, correction and erasure. Yebalabs holds no personal data from Pregotimer, so you exercise these rights directly in the app: you can see and change everything you entered, and delete it by removing the app. If you have a question or concern, contact us below. You may also raise a complaint with Rwanda’s supervisory authority for personal data protection.
10. Children
Pregotimer is intended for adults. It is not designed for children and Yebalabs does not knowingly collect information from children.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or our legal obligations change. If a future version of Pregotimer sends any information off your phone, this policy will be updated before that version is released. The current version will always appear at this address with its effective date. If a change materially affects how information is handled, we will give additional notice in the app or in its store listing where appropriate.
